Weight loss is something I actually don’t discuss a lot on the podcast because it is a secondary effect to self-care and overall wellness, when done right.
The truth is, we all know diets don’t work. Deprivation and binging don’t work! And we all know what does work: fitness and nutrition. Or does it?
I do know that losing weight is a constant source of frustration for people – they just want to MOVE ON with their life and improve their relationship with food.
Interestingly, I’ve noticed so many people live in fear of food: what to eat, how much to eat, just being around food and feeling the all-to-familiar feelings of being out of control and thinking if they just eat all the cake it would be gone and won’t tempt them any more….
…then feeling disgusting and so sick of themselves. They want a break from their diet and hating themselves so you eat all the food to feel better.
